'Chocolat' Is The Newest Installment In Film Series

February 10, 2006 - The Auteur Film Series will present "Chocolat" Tuesday, Feb. 14 at the Angelika Film Center, 7205 Bishop Road in Plano.

The Collin County Community College 2005-06 Auteur Film Series, "Food for Thought," focuses on food in film and the Valentine's Day installment focuses on a small French village and a newly opened chocolaterie as a source of attraction and fear for the villagers.

The film supports the series' theme of food in film as it chronicles how the shop's owner, Vianne, and her delicacies revive the village's passions, disrupting their traditions.

The film is rated PG-13. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the film starting at 7 p.m. and seating is limited. The screening is free and open to the public.

Following the movie, a panel discussion led by several Collin faculty and staff will be held in order to discuss the film and its themes.
