Dating Expert Schedules Two Programs At Collin

February 10, 2006 - A renowned speaker will address healthy dating and sexual assault awareness at Collin County Community College District (Collin).

When Mike Domitrz's sister was raped in 1989, it sparked a fire in him to educate others about sexual assault. The author, speaker and dating expert will present "Can I Kiss You?" at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. The events are free and open to the public.

The event is co-sponsored by the Collin Counseling Services, the Center for Scholarly and Civic Engagement and Student Life.

While designing the program, Domitrz compiled extensive research in an effort to provide an accurate, honest and healthy message about sexual assault and dating. He presents a humorous, yet emotional, program that portrays the current dating scene.

Domitrz has spoken to professional sports teams and has been featured as an expert in more than 30 TV and radio shows nationwide.

In 2003, Domitrz published "May I Kiss You? A Candid Look at Dating, Communication, Respect and Sexual Assault Awareness," which was endorsed by education organizations and professions around the country. For more information, visit or call Student Life at 972.881.5788.
