Collin Schedules "Cultivating Scholars" Research Program
April 7, 2006 - Collin County Community College District (Collin) presents "Cultivating Scholars," an interdisciplinary research showcase on Friday, April 21 at the Preston Ridge Campus Event Center, 9700 Wade Boulevard, Frisco.
The event will feature keynote speaker Jim Snack who will speak from 5-6 p.m.. Snack will discuss cultivating a sense of wonder and how curiosity is the basis for good research questions.
In addition, a number of Collin students' research will be on display for attendees to peruse and discuss. Students from a number of disciplines including psychology, humanities, biology, political science, sociology and others will present research.
Cultivating Scholars poster sessions will be held from 4-5 p.m. and 6-7 p.m.
