Collin Offers Workplace Spanish Courses
May 25, 2006 - The Collin County Community College District (Collin) Business Solutions Group (BSG) is offering an easy way to learn job-specific Spanish.
Due to the increased need for employers to communicate with Hispanic employees, patients and citizens, BSG will offer Workplace Spanish ® courses. These customized courses can be taught at your location at a time convenient for your employees.
The Business Solutions Groups offers on-site Workplace Spanish® programs for more than 20 industries, occupations and trades. All programs are designed to improve communication, teamwork and efficiency on the job.
"Workplace Spanish ® classes focus on effective communication at work, not academic proficiency," Amy Capshaw, marketing analyst for the Collin BSG, said. "Our courses use bite-size workplace terms and phrases in a simple, easy-to-understand format. No grammar, conjugation or prior Spanish experience is necessary.
"Emphasis is placed on learning Spanish terms and phrases that are important to your job or business. You don't have to memorize the alphabet or learn irrelevant vocabulary. Classes are fun, energetic and interactive. Teaching methods include repetition, role-play and practice conversations," said Capshaw.
