New Collin Course Opens Doors For Prospective Notary Publics

September 20, 2006 - Collin County Community College District Continuing Education is offering two sessions of its new Notary Public Texas Notary Law and Procedures class this fall.

The upcoming classes are Tuesday, Oct. 10 at the Central Park Campus, 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney, and Friday, Nov. 10 at the Courtyard Center for Professional and Economic Development, 4800 Preston Park Boulevard in Plano. Both sessions are three hours from 1 - 4 p.m.

The course covers professional and practical notarization in compliance with the Texas Secretary of State mandates and the notary public oath of office.

The course fee is $109 in addition to a check for $71 made out to American Surety Bond, which covers the cost for an application for issuance of a four-year commission. Also, participants must bring a valid form of identification.
