Collin Presents Choral Great Works Concert

December 8, 2006 - Collin County Community College District (Collin) will present the Choral Great Works Concert 8 p.m. Dec. 14-15 at the John Anthony Theatre at the college's Spring Creek campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

The college's Chamber Singers, Chorale and Expressions groups will perform various selections including traditional choral, musical theater and jazz selections in addition to some unexpected surprises.

Seventy-five singers under the direction of Kathy Morgan will present pieces from "Les Miserables," "The Messiah" and Mendelssohn's "Elijah," among many others. The Collin Dance Ensemble will accompany the choir in Britten's "Ceremony of Carols" in a piece choreographed by Collin dance professor Tiffanee Arnold.

The concert is $5 for general admission. Students with a school ID and children under six are free.
