Collin College Real Estate Program Moving To Frisco

May 15, 2007 – Aspiring real estate executives will now find their hub of professional training in Frisco as Collin College moves its real estate program to the Preston Ridge Campus.

Effective May 30, the real estate program will be located in Frisco, at 9700 Wade Blvd., for classes. Also, instructor offices and the program’s base will be relocated to the campus.

The real estate program was located at the Courtyard for Professional and Economic Development in Plano for the last 15 years. Mandatory Continuing Education courses will still be available at this site and real estate night courses will still be offered at the Central Park Campus, 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney.

Mary Milford, the chair of the real estate program, said the move will greatly benefit the program, allowing for growth and situating itself in the middle of Collin County, thus better serving its students. She added that the program will feature day, night, weekend and online classes.

The program has been designated “exemplary” by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) in 2000 -- the only college to receive this honor twice in a row. The program currently has three full-time faculty and 12 associate faculty.

Collin College serves more than 41,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs. The only public college in the county, Collin is a partner to business, government and industry, providing customized training and work force development.
