Statewide Tech Event Sponsored by Collin College
July 2, 2007 – Collin College will sponsor the Texas State 2007 Working Connections IT Faculty Development Institute Monday-Friday, July 16-20.
The event, open to college and high school faculty, will be held at the Collin College Preston Ridge Campus, 9700 Wade Blvd., in Frisco. Registration fee is $325 and includes materials, lunch and snacks.
Working Connections session subjects will include:
- Convergence technology
- Ethical hacking
- Fundamentals and wireless
- Gaming programming
- Intermediate voice over IP
- Using social networking tools in the classroom
Attendees also will have the opportunity to participate in a number of other informative sessions including faculty discussion with IT managers from leading corporations in the state; networking sessions for faculty to share techniques in IT education; and presentations on IT pedagogy and emerging technologies.
