Continuing Education Offers Series In Business Mediation
August 23, 2007 -- Business owners, supervisors and managers seeking a way to handle negotiations and disputes in the workplace should tap Collin College Continuing Education.
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 4 through Tuesday, Dec. 18, Continuing Education will offer its Business Mediation Certificate Series. It is a series of four different courses totaling 16 sessions throughout the fall semester.
"We're excited about this new business series," Jim Merritt, program director, said. "It gives managers and supervisors mediation tools and skills needed to resolve conflicts and disputes in the workplace effectively and professionally."
The courses include Understanding Conflict for Managers, Negotiation Skills for Managers, Business Mediation I: The Process and Business Mediation II: Breaking Through Barriers. Each course is from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, at CCCCD@Allen, 300 Rivercrest Blvd. in Allen.
The certificate series cost is $299. In order to fulfill the certificate requirements and receive an institutional certificate, the individual must attend at least 90 percent of class meeting time.
