Collin College Offers Healthcare Leadership Courses

February 4, 2008 - Collin College's Continuing Education and Workforce Development Division is offering healthcare leadership courses to provide real-world training for those who need it most: the healthcare leaders of today and tomorrow. All courses are held from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Courtyard Center for Professional and Economic Development, 4800 Preston Park Blvd. in Plano.

The courses include contract negotiations and conflict resolution, human resources for healthcare leaders, revenue cycle management and project management. New courses for summer will include building and managing healthcare teams.

These courses are approved by the American College of Medical Practice Executives as credit hours toward certification/recertification as a Certified Practice Management Executive (CPME).

Training is provided by industry experts and will ensure that participants receive quality information relevant to today's healthcare environment.

Collin College also offers a Practice Administrator certificate series that has been approved by the Professional Association of Health Care Office Management (PAHCOM) and allows healthcare administrators to sit for the Certified Medical Management exam offered by PAHCOM.
