THE ARTS Gallery To Host Renowned Religious Artist

August 11, 2008 - THE ARTS gallery will welcome the world-renowned artist John Collier and some of his most famous works from Monday, Aug. 25-Saturday, Sept. 13.

THE ARTS gallery is located at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

The exhibit will feature Collier's religious sculptures, paintings and drawings. In addition, his plaster replicas and images of the Catholic Memorial at Ground Zero of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in New York City will be on display.

Collier will be on hand during an artist talk at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center. A reception is set starting at 6 p.m. the same night in the gallery.

THE ARTS gallery hours are: Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
