Gallery Hosts Renowned Artist For A ‘Study On Being Female’

October 20, 2008 – THE ARTS gallery’s upcoming exhibition will show work from the female point of view.

“pink: a study on being female” is an exhibition of Libby Rowe, professional artist and photographer, slated for Monday, Nov. 3-Saturday, Dec. 6. The show will feature images, objects, installations and video focusing on “being female.”

Rowe’s work has been shown around the country over the past 17 years. She is currently a senior lecturer of art at Vanderbilt University.

A reception for the show is set for 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, with an artist talk at 6:30 p.m. in the gallery, located at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

THE ARTS gallery hours are: Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
