Collin Dance Ensemble Hosts Dance Fusion

Nov. 1, 2008 – The Collin Dance Ensemble and the Chaddick Dance Theater in Austin will be the featured performers at the annual Dance Fusion.

Shows are scheduled for 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 14, and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, at the John Anthony Theatre, located at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

Tickets are available at the door and cost $8 general admission and $5 for students and senior citizens.

The Collin Dance Ensemble is nationally acclaimed having performed at the American College Dance Festival and receiving the Gala Award six times. The Collin College dance curriculum ranges from modern, ballet, tap, jazz, improvisation and more.

The college has played host to a number of renowned dance companies such as Pilobolus II, The Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, Elledanceworks Dance Company, Janice Garrett and Dancers, Battleworks Dance Company and others.

Founded in 1985 by dancer, teacher and choreographer Cheryl Chaddick, the Chaddick Dance Theater relocated from San Francisco to Austin and performs around the country.
