2008 Living Legends Honored

November 17, 2008 – Collin College and the Collin College Foundation honored its 2008 Living Legend recipients – Marilyn Brooks and Rutledge Haggard, both of Plano, Mary Nelle Cummins of McKinney and Donald Dillard of Dallas – on Nov. 8 during a ceremony and dinner at Collin College's Spring Creek Campus Conference Center in Plano.

Each recipient was honored for their long standing community service in Collin County. Their dedication and community spirit will continue to positively impact all who live and work in Collin County for many years. As well, these honorees' service exemplifies the college's core values: Learning, Service and Involvement, Creativity and Innovation, Academic Excellence, Dignity and Respect, and Integrity.

In its sixth year, this special tribute dinner helps provide scholarships for deserving Collin College students through contributions to the Living Legends Scholarship Fund.
