COLLIN COLLEGE HOSTS JOB SEARCH SEMINAR

April 21, 2009 – Collin College is hosting a seminar for those seeking a new job.

“Job Search Strategies: Planning to Succeed” is scheduled for 1-3 p.m., Friday, May 1, at the Spring Creek Campus, Room H224. The event is free and open to the public.

This interactive seminar, presented by Lydia Gober, director of Collin College’s Career Services and Student Employment, will provide an overview of the job search process and will present keys to organizing the search, researching both career and work goals, developing and refining a resume, and preparing for an interview.

There will be opportunity to practice techniques for these processes. Participants may bring a resume as reference during the seminar.

The Spring Creek Campus is located at 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

The seminar is sponsored by Collin College’s Career Services and Student Employment and Counseling Services.
