Continuing Education Offers Building Information Modeling (BIM) Classes

April 27, 2009 – Collin College’s Continuing Education will offer Building Information Modeling (BIM) classes in the May-August summer semester.

Initial BIM course offerings will include basic and intermediate level classes. The basic class introduces the 3-D building structure modeling environment and basic modeling and drawing functions. The intermediate class offers a continuation of practices and techniques in 3-D building structure model creation topics.

The BIM process uses 3-D, dynamic building modeling software to create and manage building design and construction data and documents. It is employed by construction professionals for improved productivity on all building types from the simplest to the most complex.
