Continuing Education Offers Hemodialysis Certification Prep Courses

June 2, 2009 - Collin College’s Continuing Education will offer a Hemodialysis Certification Preparation course from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 7-Aug. 27 at the Courtyard Center for Professional and Economic Development, 4800 Preston Park Blvd., in Plano.

The course is designed to prepare current hemodialysis patient care technicians for the national certification exam. Participants must have at least six months experience as a hemodialysis patient care technician.

Topics covered will include principles of dialysis, care of patients in kidney failure, complications of dialysis, water treatments, infection control, safety and other topics mandated by federal regulations.
