Brown Bag Lunch At Collin College’s Spring Creek Campus Features Anousheh Ansari

June 18, 2009 - Collin College’s Seniors Active in Learning program invites the public to its Brown Bag Lunch, featuring Anousheh Ansari, starting at noon on Thursday, July 9 at the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, in Plano.

In 2006, Ansari became the first female private space explorer. Having immigrated to the United States from Iran as a teenager who did not speak English, Ansari earned degrees in electronics, computer engineering and electrical engineering.

One of her goals is to inspire youth, especially girls, around the world to study hard and pursue their dreams.

Aside from Ansari, Jeff Crilley, an Emmy and National Headliners Award winner during 25 years of the news business, is also scheduled to speak, highlighting the Brown Bag Lunch on Thursday, Aug. 6.
