Fashion Illustration, Solar Installation Training Among New Fall Collin College Continuing Education Courses

Sept 4, 2009 - From new courses such as Fashion Illustration and Wedding Planning to a Healthcare Leadership Series and Solar Installer Training, Collin College Continuing Education participants will have a lot – nearly 30 new offerings – to choose from this fall.

Fashion Illustration, which gives an overview of the fashion illustration industry, is a preview to a future certificate series that CE will offer while Wedding Planning discusses a growing, new industry now that baby boomers are reaching marriage age. This course is geared toward those who want to go into business for themselves or just learn the business for personal use. 

The Healthcare Leadership Series provides an overview of relevant topics that might impact today’s health care environment. Participants will enhance their skills and knowledge with up-to-date information for health care leaders.

Solar Installer Training will provide basic knowledge of solar photovoltaic cells, modules and system components; electrical circuits; PV system design, estimation and code requirements.

Aside from the aforementioned courses, other new courses include Environmentally Safe Waste Management, DB@ for zOS Fundamentals I and II, Mainframe Assembler Language Programming and Social Media for Small to Medium-Sized Businesses, among many others.
