Free Workshop Helps Students Decide Between ACT, SAT

February 6, 2010 – For aspiring college or university students, the stress and anxiety that comes with the SAT or ACT is unparalleled.

Fortunately, Collin College’s Destination College office is offering a free SAT/ACT Mini-Assessment from the Princeton Review from 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Preston Ridge Campus Event Center, 9700 Wade Blvd., in Frisco.

The workshop – like all Destination College events – is open to any future college or university student no matter where they intend to attend.

The workshop will entail completing a Princeton Review Assessment, which is a combination of questions representing the SAT and ACT. With this tool, students can determine which test is better suited for them. Representatives from Princeton Review will explain the differences between the tests.

Destination College is a Collin College initiative that helps high school students and their parents to get ready for college, no matter which institution they choose.

This event is one of a series of workshops scheduled to help high school students prepare for college.
