Career Bytes Workshop Puts Criminal Justice In Spotlight

February 19, 2010 – The career potential in the field of criminal justice is abundant, and the Global EDGE Tech Prep consortium at Collin College wants to help you realize all of them.

As part of the Global EDGE’s Career Bytes workshop series, criminal justice faculty is hosting a free workshop from noon-1:30 p.m., Friday, March 12, at the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Lunch and refreshments will be served. The workshop is open to the public.

The faculty will discuss the field of criminal justice and the many career opportunities – from law to law enforcement – within that arena. The faculty also will spotlight the programs in criminal justice at Collin College.

Career Bytes is an educational program that is tailored towards current Collin College students and focuses on educating these students about different associate of applied science (AAS) majors and how they can translate those majors into real-world careers.

The final Career Bytes workshop will feature 3D animation in April. Collin College Co-op will also be present to help the students understand the link between co-op jobs, their courses at Collin College and the business world.
