Workshop Irons Out Wrinkles Of College Financial Aid

March 11, 2010 – Financial aid is a big talking point for students and parents of college students.

An upcoming Destination College workshop wants to knock down the obstacles toward financial aid for students and their parents.

“How to Apply for Financial Aid” is set for 6:30-8 p.m., Thursday, March 25, at the Central Park Campus Conference Center, 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney.

The event is free and open to the public. Students do not need to attend Collin College to attend the workshop

“How to Apply for Financial Aid” answers the questions of eligibility, how to apply for financial aid and the different types of aid available to college students.  Collin College officials will sort out the facts and myths of financial aid.

Destination College is a Collin College initiative that helps high school students and their parents to get ready for college, no matter which institution they choose.

This event is one of a series of workshops scheduled to help high school students prepare for college.
