Collin College To Offer Nitrous Oxide Course

March 13, 2010 – Collin College has been approved by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners to offer the Nitrous Oxide course and examination.

The first offering is from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, March 27 at the Courtyard Center for Professional and Economic Development, 4800 Preston Park. Blvd., in Plano.

The course will cost $149 and is designed to prepare the dental assistant or hygienist to obtain certification in nitrous oxide monitoring.

Students will learn about Texas jurisprudence as it relates to nitrous oxide, discuss and recognize management of medical emergencies, review sedation in pediatric dentistry and talk about what is social use and abuse of nitrous oxide.
