Auteur Series Wraps Up Another Season With ‘Shorts!’

April 7, 2010 – The Auteur Film Series closes out its 2009-10 season with a collection of short films sponsored in conjunction with the Student Animators Workshop.

“Shorts!” will feature a number of short films dealing with the movie industry to support the series’ theme of “Meta-Cinema: Movies About the Movies.” The screening is set for 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, at the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

“Meta-Cinema: Movies About The Movies” featured films where filmmaking itself plays a central role in the film.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited. Some material may not be suitable for all audiences.

“Shorts!” will be followed by a panel discussion led by Collin College faculty and staff.

Education Through Film is a collaboration between the Auteur Film Series and the Center for Scholarly and Civic Engagement.
