Career Workshop Puts The 'Focus On The Future'

April 9, 2010 – Local educators and college or university students can get a sneak peek into the future job market at an upcoming Focus on the Future workshop.

Focus on the Future III: Making Connections will host a trio of special speakers to discuss the job market outlook and how it will affect the community and education.

The free professional development workshop is set from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, at the Central Park Campus, 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney.

Carolyn Corbin, futurist and author, Dr. Vince Orza, dean of the Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University and entrepreneur, and Candy Slocum, labor marketing strategist and director of InterLink, will highlight trends in our communities, in education and in the job market to help students prepare for their future.
