Auteur Film Series Begins 2010-11 Schedule With V For Vendetta

August 27, 2010 -- The Auteur Film Series kicks off its 2010-11 season with a screening of V for Vendetta at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 7, at the Spring Creek Campus Conference Center.

The event is free and open to the public.

This futuristic tale unfolds in a Great Britain that has become a fascist state. A freedom fighter known as V uses terrorist tactics to fight back against the oppression.  He rescues a young woman from the secret police, and she becomes his unlikely ally.

This year’s Auteur Film Series theme is “Rough and Poetic: Great Films About (In)Justice.”

The film is rated R. Some material may not be suitable for all ages.

Seating is limited. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
