Center Schedules Fairs For Volunteer Opportunities
September 1, 2010 – Collin College’s Center for Scholarly and Civic Engagement have scheduled three events for organizations and individuals seeking to make a difference.
Service Learning and Volunteer Fairs are set for 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14 at the Central Park Campus; 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15 at the Preston Ridge Campus; and 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 15 at the Spring Creek Campus.
The Service Learning and Volunteer Fairs are opportunities for students, faculty and staff to interact with area community partners and social service agencies to learn about their missions and opportunities to serve.
Community partners will share information about their organizations and enlist new service-learning partnerships and volunteers to assist in meeting of community need.
The Central Park Campus is located at 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney. The Preston Ridge Campus is located at 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco. The Spring Creek Campus is located at 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.
