November 2, 2010 – The man who has visited all 50 states working 50 jobs in 50
weeks is coming to Collin College.
The Great Job Hunt: Speaker Discusses Career Design
As part of its Distinguished Speaker Series, the college will host Daniel Seddiqui at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the Living Legends Conference Center.
Seddiqui’s lecture is free and open to the public.
Under the theme of Innovation in Career Design, Seddequi will discuss the process of finding a career, a passion and understanding culture and lifestyle.
In traveling to all 50 states and doing 50 different jobs in a year, Seddiqui explored the diverse careers, environments and cultures in the United States.
He has been a cheesemaker in Wisconsin, a U.S. border patrol agent in Arizona, a lobsterman in Maine, a coal miner in West Virginia, a cook in Maryland, a baseball scout in Massachusetts and a marine biologist in Washington.
The Living Legends Conference Center is located at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.
