The Art Of Self: Gallery's Latest Features Portraits

January 13, 2011 – THE ARTS gallery will host its latest exhibition, “Self Portrait: Who Are You?” through Saturday, Jan. 29.

Collin College art students and artists from the Texas Visual Arts Association were selected to exhibit self portraits as part of the show.

“Self portraits are an attempt to reveal one’s self to other while trying to hide from one’s self. The truth may be revealing or may be concealing,” Zane Steadman, the show’s curator, said.

A reception is set for 4-7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 20, at THE ARTS gallery, located at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

Admission is free and open to the public.

THE ARTS gallery hours are: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
