Destination College Workshop Offers Financial Aid, Scholarship Tips

Feb 1, 2010 – Are you ready to make the next step and enroll in college, but do not know how to apply for financial aid?

If this is you, then Collin College’s Destination College Program welcomes you to attend its free “How to Apply for Financial Aid” workshop from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24 at the Central Park Campus Conference Center in McKinney.

During this workshop, students will get help in sorting out the facts from the myths and will learn about financial aid concepts such as the different types of aid, eligibility, the application process, , and more.

Destination College is a Collin College initiative that helps high school students and their parents to get ready for college, no matter which institution they choose.

This event is the second of a series of spring workshops scheduled to help high school students prepare for college.
