Mock Trial Team Reaches Nationals For Third Straight Year

Collin College squad the only two-year institution to reach nationals in history of competition

March 4, 2011 – The Collin College Mock Trial Team has done it again.

For the third straight year, the team advanced to the Championship Series of the American Mock Trial Association, the only two-year institution to do so.

Collin College outdid squads from Southern Methodist University, Baylor University, The University of Texas at Dallas and the University of Houston at the 2011 Dallas Supplemental Regional Tournament Feb. 19-20.

Student Brandy Prince achieved a perfect score as an attorney for the plaintiff and placed third overall as attorney for the defense. Teammate Cameron Wooley received an award for Outstanding Witness.

The Collin College Mock Trial Team will compete at the 2011 Opening Round Championship Series March 25-27 in Memphis, Tenn. against other colleges and universities from around the nation.
