Destination College Program to Help Students Select Majors

March 24, 2011 – When it comes to selecting a major, many students are uncertain about how to make the right decision.

Because of this, Collin College’s Destination College program invites students to attend the “Exploring Majors: How to Choose” workshop from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 7 at the Spring Creek Campus Living Legends Conference Center in Plano.

During this workshop, students will be provided with a plan on how to match majors with your interests and career plans, and how to find the best colleges for those majors.

Destination College is a Collin College initiative that helps high school students and their parents to get ready for college, no matter which institution they choose.

This event is the fifth of a series of spring workshops scheduled to help high school and first-semester Collin College students prepare for college. While there is no fee to attend, registration is required.  Please register online by going to and clicking on the "Register" button to choose your selected workshop, or call 972.377.1772.  Seating is limited and spaces tend to fill quickly for this session.

Collin College serves more than 51,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs. The only public college in the county, Collin College is a partner to business, government and industry, providing customized training and work force development.
