Collin Dance Ensemble Presents Spring Show, 'Existence Musings'
April 1, 2011 – The Collin Dance Ensemble will host its spring showcase Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16 at the John Anthony Theatre.
The ensemble’s show is titled “Existence Musings.” Shows include 8 p.m. performances both nights and a 2 p.m. performance Saturday. Tickets are $8 general admission and $6 for students and senior citizens.
The John Anthony Theatre is located on the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.
The Collin Dance Ensemble, the resident performing company for Collin College, performs innovative contemporary modern dance. Under the direction of Tiffanee Arnold, the company tours throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, performing in local concerts and festivals. The dance company attends and performs at the American College Dance Festival annually and has been selected for the Gala Performance at the regional festivals six times. The company has also performed in New York City at the American College National Dance Festival.
Dancers involved in CDE have opportunities to work with professional dance companies. Former residencies include: Cheryl Chaddick Dance Theatre, Janice Garrett & Dancers, Battleworks Dance Company, Pilobolus Too, Eisenhower Dance Ensemble from Michigan, Houston Metropolitan Dance Company and others.
