Nurse Camp Registration Is Open
April 28, 2011 – Students interested in the nursing field are encouraged to apply for Collin College’s annual Nurse Camp.
Two sessions are available: Monday-Wednesday, June 13-15 or Monday-Wednesday, Aug. 1-3. Daily activities are from 9 a.m.-noon.
The Nurse Camps are free and open to any student between the eighth-11th grades.
The Nurse Camp offers a unique opportunity to experience the excitement and challenges of being a nurse, one of the highest-demanded occupations in Texas.
The program is designed to provide information about the nursing profession and allows participants to see nurses in action.
- Assist medical personnel with simulations and sensory activities
- View demonstrations regarding neonatal, emergency and adaptive care
- Learn about the many nursing careers
- Meet personnel from the field and students involved in nurse training and more.
Space is limited. Registration forms are due Thursday, May 12.
