Area Students Get Lessons in Saving Lives at Nurse Camp
Collin College nursing students run a simulated code situation for Nurse Campers to learn about what nurses do in emergency situations Aug. 3 at the Central Park Campus in McKinney.
About 60 junior high and high school students from the area attended the camp, which is intended to teach interested students about careers in nursing.
Activities included training in CPR, live simulations, a tour of a CareFlite helicopter, games and a live code situation led by Collin College nursing students.
Sixty other students attended an earlier Nurse Camp in June.
