Public Invited To Disaster Preparedness Workshop

September 27, 2011 – A disaster can happen in the blink of an eye.

The Collin County Department of Homeland Security wants the public to know what to do just in case it happens locally.

The agency is hosting a Personal Disaster Preparedness Training Workshop from 6-10 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Central Park Campus Conference Center, 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney.

The workshop will be an overview of possible disaster and emergency scenarios, personal and family preparedness and resources.

The workshop is free and open to the public.
