Collin College Awarded $20 Million Federal Grant
Sep 27, 2011 - Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis and Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter just announced that a consortium led by Collin College has been selected for a $19,998,974 grant, part of nearly $500 million in federal grants targeted for training and workforce development to help unemployed workers who are changing careers. Collin College Receives Incentive Dollars From Oncor's Educational Facilities Energy Efficiency Program
Sep 23, 2011 - Collin College received a check today from Oncor rewarding two of its campuses - Collin Higher Education Center, located in McKinney, TX and the Courtyard Center, located in Plano, TX for recently installing energy efficient lighting and cooling equipment. By installing the more efficient lighting and cooling systems, the college received a cash incentive from Oncor for $30,947.17 as part of its participation in Oncor's Educational Facilities Program, and it reduced the energy costs for the two campuses by an average of 207,837 kWh annually....[MORE]
