Speaker Series Welcomes Renowned Astrophysicist

October 18, 2011 – The Distinguished Speaker Series at Collin College is where astrophysics get extreme.

As part of its 2011-12 program, the series will host Dr. David Baker, chair of the physics department at Austin College, at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Spring Creek Campus Living Legends Center, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

All Distinguished Speaker Series events are free and open to the public.

Dr. Baker will present on “Creativity and Extreme Astrophysics.” His past research includes environmental physics, planetary physics, physics education and Earth system science education.
