Axe The Anxiety: Workshop Addresses College Entrance Exams

January 5, 2012 – Anxiety is an understandable reaction to college entrance exams.

Destination College will address how to take the worry out of the SAT, ACT or TSI-COMPASS with a free workshop 6:30-8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Central Park Campus, 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney.

“Ready, SAT, ACTion: Overcoming Test Anxiety” covers practical strategies that can help reduce anxiety at the different stages of test taking.

The guest presenter is David Christian, a doctoral student in the University of North Texas’ counseling program with a background in parent education, secondary education, Adventure Based Counseling and counseling families and adolescents.

“Ready, SAT, ACTion: Overcoming Test Anxiety” is open to any student or parent regardless of where they plan to attend college.

While the session is free, registration is required.
