March 30, 2012 – Collin College’s Fine Art department at the Spring Creek Campus invites everyone to their second annual Art Day.
Art Day is free and open to the public. Set from noon-4:30 p.m., Saturday, April 14, it is an excellent opportunity to meet with art faculty and tour the facilities at the campus. Events include free art talks, demonstrations and special events.
Art Day coincides with the opening of THE ART gallery’s latest show “Die Brücke: Common Bond,” which runs through Thursday, May 10.
The exhibition features the work of more than 30 local artists and educators inspired by famed Texas sculptor John Brough Miller and his mentor, Maija Grotell.
The Fine Arts facilities at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano, are located in the “A” module on the north side of the campus.
Collin College Fine Arts includes drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, art metals and art history.
