Film Series Ends Year at Angelika Film Center

Theme of TV in film concludes with screening of Good Night and Good Luck

April 5, 2012 – The Auteur Film Series finishes its 2011-12 theme of “Films from the Wasteland: TV and the Recline(r) of Civilization” with Good Night and Good Luck.

The free screening will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 19, at the Angelika Film Center, located at The Shops at Legacy, 7205 Bishop Road in Plano. The event is open to the public.

Good Night and Good Luck, directed by George Clooney, chronicles veteran journalist Edward R. Murrow, who hosts See It Now, a CBS news program in the early years of television. Defying pressure from the network and sponsors, Murrow exposes the fear-mongering tactics of Senator Joseph McCarthy, crusader against communism.

The film runs 93 minutes. Some material may not be suitable for all audiences.
