Auteur Film Series Screens The King’s Speech

Sept 5, 2012 – Crowned with four Oscars in 2011, including best motion picture, director, actor in a leading role and writing, Collin College’s Auteur Film Series will show The King’s Speech.

The free screening is at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Angelika Film Center, 7205 Bishop Road, Plano. Open to the public, the film is rated PG-13.

After Prince Albert unexpectedly becomes King George VI, he must overcome a lifelong stutter in order to make a crucial radio broadcast after Britain declares war on Germany in 1939.

The King’s Speech stars Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter.
