Collin College Schedules Rock the Vote for Sept. 18-20

September 5, 2012 Collin College invites you to register to vote and meet area political candidates at upcoming Rock the Vote events.  Each event is scheduled from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 18 in the Central Park Campus Atrium, 2200 W. University Drive, McKinney.

The remaining Rock the Vote events take place on Wednesday, Sept. 19 in the Spring Creek Campus Atrium, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano and on Thursday, Sept. 20 in the Preston Ridge Campus Cougar Den, 9700 Wade Blvd., Frisco.

To be eligible to register to vote in Texas, you must:

  • be a United States citizen;
  • be a resident of the county;
  • be 18 years old (you may register at 17 years and 10 months);
  • not be a convicted felon (unless a person's sentence is completed, including any probation or parole)
  • not be declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law
