Destination College Schedules "Writes of Passage Workshop"
STUDENTS WILL LEARN HOW TO WRITE COLLEGE, SCHOLARSHIP ESSAYS
Sept. 6, 2012 – From 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18 students are invited to attend the free “Writes of Passage: How to Write a Personal Statement, College or Scholarship Essay” workshop at the Preston Ridge Campus Conference Center, 9700 Wade Blvd., Frisco.
Marilyn Kaufman, M.Ed., president of College Admission Consultants, Inc. will be on hand to cover helpful tips and strategies, and provide tools for writing an effective application or scholarship essay. Furthermore, questions like how do I start and what do I say will be addressed during this seminar.
Destination College is a Collin College initiative that helps high school students and their parents to get ready for college, no matter which institution they choose.
While there is no fee to attend, registration is required. Please register online by going to www.collin.edu/destinationcollege and clicking on the “Register” button to choose your selected workshop, or call 972.377.1772. Seating is limited and spaces are filling quickly for this session.
