This concert will introduce Collin College students and the community to many different styles of dance, including work from guest choreographers Linda Lehovec, Jane Weiner, Alex Ketley, and David Parsons. According to Tiffanee Arnold, chair of Dance at Collin College, “This is an opportunity for our students to work with notable university dance programs, and see how an associate degree from Collin [College] will allow them to open doors to many of these four-year programs.”
The Collin Dance Ensemble, the resident performing company for Collin College, is a vibrant company that performs innovative contemporary modern dance. Under the direction of Tiffanee Arnold, Collin Dance Ensemble’s goal is to produce dance works at the highest level of artistic excellence. The company tours throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area, performing in local concerts and festivals. The dance company attends and performs at the American College Dance Festival annually and has been selected for the Gala Performance at the regional festivals six times.
