Auteur Film Series Screens Citizen Kane

Oct 31, 2012 – Collin College’s Auteur Film Series will next screen the 1941 movie Citizen Kane.

The free screening is at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Pike Hall at the Central Park Campus, 2200 W. University Drive, McKinney. Open to the public, the film, which received an Oscar for Best Writing, Original Screenplay, is rated PG.

After publishing tycoon Charles Foster Kane dies, Citizen Kane tells the story of a reporter who tries to make sense of the great man’s dying word. Citizen Kane is loosely based on the life of newspaper giant William Randolph Hearst.
