Workshop Prepares Parents for College Admissions

January 24, 2013 – Applying to college can be a nerve-racking experience, not only for the student, but for parents as well. Collin College’s Destination College Parent Workshop from 6-8:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 is designed to help equip parents for everything involved with the college preparation process, from admissions to financial aid.

Brooke Ingersoll, Destination College Coordinator, said the Parent Workshop is one of the program’s most popular events.

“We will be bringing in a national speaker who is at the forefront of the college admissions process and we will also provide pertinent financial aid information to parents during the evening,” Ingersoll said.

Free, entertaining and informative, this parent-only evening will take place at the Collin College Preston Ridge Campus Conference Center at 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco. Dinner will be provided and registration is required. Seating is limited.
