Collin College Celebrates National Poetry Month

April 8, 2013 – Joining the country in recognition of the art, Collin College will host “Off the Page and On Campus: A Celebration of National Poetry Month” from 5-7 p.m. on April 17 at the Preston Ridge Campus Conference Center (Section E), 9700 Wade Boulevard in Frisco.

The evening’s event will feature poetry readings by local award-winning authors, JP Reese and Lori Ann Stephens.

Dr. Diana C. Gingo, professor of English, said this event is a wonderful opportunity for students and community to be engaged in education outside of the classroom.

“The literary talents of our two featured readers are sure to bring the written word ‘off the page’ and to life for the entire community as we come together to celebrate National Poetry Month,” said Gingo.
