Lecture Focuses on Effective Communication
November 6, 2013 – The Knowledge is Power lecture series at Collin College will focus on effective communication for both listeners and speakers from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Preston Ridge Campus Conference Center.
“You Talking to Me?” will be presented by Diana Sage, professor of speech communication, and Dr. Salena Brody, professor of psychology. Professor Sage will speak about tailoring communication styles to fit different listeners and specific situations and Dr. Brody will explain how listening and learning go hand-in-hand and how to become more engaged in studies and life.
The Knowledge is Power lecture series pairs professors from different academic arenas into one discussion about a topic relevant in global current issues. The lecture is free and open to the public.
