Collin SBDC Wins Grant
The First National Bank Grant Program is designed to support programs that promote community revitalization, job development and affordable housing in the communities within which First National Bank operates. The Collin SBDC was selected for this grant because it meets the program's job creation goals, and funds were awarded in June.
"First National Bank Southwest is proud to lend a helping hand to make the communities we serve a better place to live, work and play," said First National Bank Southwest Bank President Cliff Whisenhunt. "This is demonstrated through the bank's support of various economic lending initiatives and its collaboration with local, state and federal agencies to create the funding to fulfill the needs of our communities. Plus, through strategic investments, we provide nontraditional capital to high-impact development projects."
Since 1989, the Collin SBDC is a partnership between Collin College, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the state of Texas. Through this partnership, one-on-one confidential consulting is provided at no charge to small businesses.
